  1. The pupil certifies that a valid suitable licence is held to drive the tuition vehicle.  Pupils must inform their instructor immediately if they receive any endorsements on their licence during the period they are receiving tuition.
  2. *The offer of 3 hours for £45 is open ONLY to new drivers. ‘New drivers’ is defined by Manchester Driving Lessons as an individual over the age of 17 years that has had no previous experience of driving a motorcar or any other motorised form of transport, on a public road. Manchester Driving Lessons reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time without giving reason.
  3. The offer of ‘buy 1 get 1 free’ applies only to experienced drivers that are new to Manchester Driving Lessons and is subject to the free hour forming part of the first lesson which must be taken as a 2 hour lesson, effectively making the first 2 hour lesson half the normal lesson price. Drivers can have previous experience, this offer is subject to being advertised and offered, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Offer is limited to 1 free lesson per pupil unless otherwise stated.
  4. The offer of ‘Driving lessons from £16’ applies only to new drivers that are new to Manchester Driving Lessons. The price of £16 per hour is achieved by paying £60 on the first lesson, for the first 5 hours, and then a further £100 on the 5th hour. This offer is subject to being advertised and offered, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Offer is limited to the first 10 hours of tuition only and then the normal hourly lessons price shall apply unless otherwise stated.
  5. In the event of mechanical breakdown or any other difficulty outside the control of the instructor, the instructor reserves the right to rearrange the lesson at short notice.
  6. A lesson is of one hour duration.  If for any reason outside the instructor’s control it is not possible to give a full hours instruction then any lost time will be added to a later lesson.  It is the responsibility of the pupil to ensure that this is noted on the appointment card.
  7. A minimum of 24 hours notice MUST be given to the instructor by the pupil to cancel a lesson and should the pupil fail to give this notice, the pupil may be liable to pay the full tuition fee for the lesson, which has been booked.
  8. The price paid for the driving test does not include the use of the instructor’s car for the purpose of the test and any prior instruction.  Therefore current rates will apply.
  9. If payment for lessons is made by cheque then the cheque must be made payable to your instructor and will only be accepted with a valid cheque guarantee card.
  10. Payment for each hour of instruction must be made prior to the lesson starting.  Conditions may apply to temporary offers.
  11. The pupil should be aware that the instructor’s primary objective is to promote road safety and positive driving.  Therefore it may become necessary during the course of a lesson for the instructor to take control of the vehicle.
  12. The instructor will make every effort to instruct the pupil to the highest standard but can in no way be held liable for any errors that the pupil may make whilst driving and not accompanied by the instructor either before or after a test pass.
  13. The instructor will endeavour to teach the pupil the correct driving skills according to the recommended syllabus issued by the DSA within the minimum number of lessons required.
  14. Driving tests may only be arranged with the prior agreement of both instructor and pupil.
  15. Any complaints are to be dealt with in accordance with the ADI code of practice.
  16. The instructor is at liberty to refuse to proceed with a lesson if he/she has reason to believe that the pupil is in any way under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the lesson or is too tired to drive safely.
  17. The instructor will accept no liability for accidents, injury or damage to any third party caused by the pupil’s recklessness during a lesson.
  18. The instructor reserves the right to withhold the use of his/her vehicle for the use of a driving test.
